Robotics Lab

The GDPS Robotics Lab is where engineering thinking becomes tangible for the very first time. Students explore Sensors & Smart Technology through micro:bit and Arduino, learn about different sensors, and develop hands-on skills in circuit building, wiring, and programming.
In partnership with LEGO Mindstorms Education — one of the world’s leading providers of educational robotics — the lab gives students from the earliest grades access to hands-on robotics and programmable systems in an environment designed specifically for learning.

Why This Matters

Robotics education develops a specific cluster of capabilities that are difficult to build through any other discipline: the ability to break down a complex problem into steps; the discipline to debug when something does not work; the creativity to design a solution that has not been done before. These are not robotics skills. They are thinking skills — portable across every domain a student will eventually inhabit.
