In 19XX, Sri G. D. Naidu — industrialist, inventor, and the luminary known as the Edison of India — established the G. D. Naidu Trust with an unwavering belief: that enduring education must be rooted in experience, not recitation. Sri Naidu understood that a young person’s hands are as important as their mind, and that the two work best in concert.
Gedee Public School is the living expression of that belief. Every laboratory we build, every workshop we run, every international exchange we facilitate traces its rationale back to this founding philosophy. We are not simply a school that bears a great man’s name. We are an institution still animated by his ideas — and still measuring itself against them.

Sri. G. D. Gopal
Chairman
The educational institutions function under the direct guidance and inspiration of Sri G. D. Gopal, the Managing Trustee of the Trust, and the Chairman of the UMS Group. He has a keen interest in education and has floated several vocational educational institutions, especially Gedee Technical Training Institute, under the G. D. Naidu Charities Trust. He strongly believes in learning by inquiry and learning by doing. His vision is to help educatee realize their capabilities and build a strong foundation with discipline and values to explore the world around them. The school aspires that the student must leave with a strength of character, a spirit of exploration, and a thirst for knowledge to explore the unknown and live a meaningful life.
Smt. Chandralekha Gopal
Trustee
The school has on its management board Smt. Chandralekha Gopal, the Correspondent of the G D Matriculation School, who brings in her vast and rich experience and pioneering spirit in the field of school education spanning over several decades. She has authored several books for children in Tamil, Mathematics, Physics etc., which is being used widely by many schools in Tamil Nadu.
Mr. G. D. Rajkumar
Trustee
Mr. G D Rajkumar, the Trustee of the school, who has an industrial engineering education from Germany, believes practical training should be given more importance while acquiring knowledge. He brings in his experience gained in Germany and other European countries to fine tune the co-curricular activities. He advocates experiential learning over rote learning.
Ms. Akila Shanmugam,

Ms. Akila Shanmugam, Trustee of the School, is a Postgraduate in Business Management, with over two decades of experience in human resource development. She has an active role in the Gedee Technical Training Institute, Goethe-Zentrum, Science Museum and other educational initiatives of the Trust. She strongly advocates human values and discipline as the foundation for education to be beneficial.
